SOCIAL SECURITY & HEALTH CARE REFORM
Join us for an informative forum on the politics of aging. Learn about the facts and strategies essential for effective advocacy for social security and health care reform truly benefiting seniors, retirees, disabled persons and working families. There are a lot of myths and misinformation circulating. We can influence the National Commission on Fiscal Responsibility & Reform and Congress to prepare constructive legislation and public policy.
The presenter is Laura Feldman, a Gerontology Policy Adviser. Ms. Feldman has served in the past 19 years as a grassroots organizer/manager for the National Committee to Preserve Social Security & Medicare (NCPSSM). NCPSSM is a major non-partisan advocacy organization. She brings her keen observations and perspective from "inside the beltway" on the politics of the 111th Congress and the issues of Aging and does so in a very interesting manner.
